Do you dream of merging history and the future into breathtaking designs? At this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, we're hosting a special booth to showcase the creativity of our incredible community.
GDC is one of the largest events in the gaming industry, bringing together thousands of developers, designers, and tech innovators from around the world.
If your design is selected, we'll not only display it digitally but also 3D print models that are suitable for printing, and bring them to the event for attendees to experience in person.
Theme: Chrono Crafters - Restoring the Nexus
Context
You are a time-traveling designer. The Chrono Nexus, a legendary time machine, once kept timelines in balance. But after a catastrophic malfunction, history has been thrown into chaos. Now, your mission is to restore balance by creating unified artifacts—pieces that blend different eras, from the prehistoric to the futuristic.
Your Goal
Your mission is to design unified artifacts that combine elements from different eras—prehistoric, medieval, futuristic, and more—to stabilize the timeline and rebuild the Chrono Nexus.
The fate of history itself lies in your hands!
Design Direction
Here are some examples to spark your imagination:
- A medieval sword with futuristic laser enhancements.
- A crossbow with a blend of ancient craftsmanship and advanced tech-powered targeting systems.
- A shield with ancient runes and futuristic energy barriers.
- A battle axe with mechanical augmentations and plasma-charged blades.
The possibilities are endless. Your designs can tell a story, spark a conversation, and inspire awe.
How to Participate
1. Create Your Design
Follow the theme and add the hashtag #ChronoForgeWeapon. All types of creations are welcome, including animations.
2. Get Votes
Share your work and gather support from the community! The Top 10 designs, selected through community voting, and 5 Editor's Choice designs will be featured at GDC and rewarded with a GDC Expo Pass Ticket, worth $349.
Every participant will earn 100 credits just for taking part, and all 15 winners will receive an additional 500 credits!
All credits will be sent after the event ends.
3. Promote Your Creation
Boost your chances by sharing your design on platforms like Reddit, X, and other social channels.
